Posey, Rodney win NL/AL Comeback Player of The Year

After missing most of the previous season with an ugly ankle injury in a collision at home plate with Marlins Scott Cousins, Buster Posey who at first wasn't sure if he would even be playing this season came back in a huge way. Posey batted an NL leading .336 with 24 home runs and 103 runs batted in.

Fernando Rodney's career seemed to be in a downfall. After being a successful closer for the Detroit Tigers with overpowering stuff, he left for the Angels where he only saved 17 games in 2 seasons. He spent his off season in the Dominican Republic and this year returned to being one of the best closers around posting a 0.60 ERA and converting on 48 save opportunities.
