NBA Commissioner David Stern will announce later today that he is retiring on February 1, 2014, from multiple sources. He has been the NBA's commissioner since February 1, 1984 so its only right for him to retire on the same day he was hired. Adam Silver will be the new commissioner when David Stern steps down.
