In what was first thought to be knee soreness, MRIs have revealed the Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire has a ruptured popliteal cyst in his knee. Stoudemire will not need surgery but will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks which means he will miss the start of the NBA season.
